The "6000 D" is the reference mountain trail running
event in France, and covers extreme differences of level
and altitude. It is a unique event for trail specialists
and should not be missed.
Since 1995 this event has been accompagnied by a shorter
course for part-time runners/walkers which take place on
the same track but is split into two circuits : one is 31
km long (from Plagne centre to Plagne Bellecôte passing
by the glacier), and the second which covers 23 km (from
Plagne centre to Plagne Bellecôte, missing out the
glacier).
More than 18 nations are represented as well as 90 French
regions, which accounts for almost 1000 runners. the 2002
winner BOOTH Simon (GB) ran in 4h24'48" woman winner
RAUX Corine 4h55'08". The best time is 4h17'18 for
men, price $1000 for the winner, 4h51'50 for women.ter
