The "6000 D" is the reference mountain trail running event in France, and covers extreme differences of level and altitude. It is a unique event for trail specialists and should not be missed.
Since 1995 this event has been accompagnied by a shorter course for part-time runners/walkers which take place on the same track but is split into two circuits : one is 31 km long (from Plagne centre to Plagne Bellecôte passing by the glacier), and the second which covers 23 km (from Plagne centre to Plagne Bellecôte, missing out the glacier).

More than 18 nations are represented as well as 90 French regions, which accounts for almost 1000 runners. the 2002 winner BOOTH Simon (GB) ran in 4h24'48" woman winner RAUX Corine 4h55'08". The best time is 4h17'18 for men, price $1000 for the winner, 4h51'50 for women.ter here
